Building Together

A big day today as we held our first official Trustees meeting. The whole team had a hand in shaping the agenda, with the biggest item up for discussion being our fundraising strategy. For me, this felt like a particularly important moment, we were finally tackling one of the trickiest areas small charities face. It's certainly one of the things that keeps me awake at night!

I'm so grateful to the team for pulling everything together so thoughtfully and making sure all the Trustees are aligned on the charity’s future plans. We also had some exciting updates on our operational progress and media outreach, and we were lucky enough to hear from Jo Hay at the Social Business Trust, who shared her top tips on what makes a great Trustee (very handy, as we’re all still finding our feet!).

We also officially welcomed Fiona as our new charity secretary, another brilliant addition to the team. As I looked around the room, I felt genuinely proud of everything we’ve achieved so far and the impact it’s having on vulnerable children and families. It’s the kind of feeling that warms you from the inside out.
